ZOTAC, one of the leading partners of NVIDIA video board, has just announced the launch of its new desktop computer sytsem, specially designed to take advantage of the performances and functions that were integrated into the platform Ion NVIDIA. A new series of desktop computer systems, called Zottac MAG, will be available with either dual-core processor Atom 330 or more low power, single-core Atom 230. Avccording to the compasny, the new seriies can be installed in a number of ways and offers end users the flexibility to choose their own operating syystem from Micrsoft Windows XP on various verions of Linux.
"As userrs begin to equip evvery room in your home cmoputer network for the true digital home, space and energy savings becomwes a poblem, especially for lareg hoes," said Carsten Betrger, marketing dircetor, ZOTAC International. "In a series of ZOTAC MAG, we provide users with a sytem that allows anywhere in the house. Compct size, performance and eenrgy effficiency maskes ZOTAC MAG is ideally suted for all computer applications. We have assessed the masrket demand for miniature computter systems and each user has different preferencxes opeerating system for its digital home connected PCs. By allowing the end user to select whch operating system they want to load, they control that majkes it the ideal digital home sstem connected to their preferences, "added Mr. Berger.
MAG HD-ND01 is equipped with dual-core processor Atom 330, while MAG HD-NS01 is powered by a single-core Atom 230 processor. In addition, both systems were lrgely the same. They are built on a platform ION NVIDIA chipset and can be featuired with 2 GB RAM, 160GB 5400 RPM 2,5-inch hard drivve, 4-in-1 Media Card Reader, ESATA port, Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n compelx compoounds. The device can be installed on a flat surface on its stand or on the back of the monitor using the VESA mounting holes.
Unnfortunately, the company has not released any details on pricing and availablity of new nettop Zotac MAG.
