A Good Life and Good Health Go Hand in Glove

It would not be possible to enjoy life without good health. The aging factor brings on a lot of age related geriatric problems which have to be dealt with effectively to lead a good life. We should remember that we are responsible for how good our health is as we get older, and how good life is possible to attain in our later years. Our own lifestyle while we are still young will reflect on our health and well being later. So to take care of our health in our youth will help to be healthy while we get on in age.

Most people want to keep their weight under control for aesthetic reasons more than for health ones. Being conscious of this is an advantage for good life and good health too. Weight is the single most frequent health related problem as it is the cause of cardio vascular problems, diabetes and respiratory problems, not just in latter years but even when one is still young.

It is not possible to lead a good life unless one is in good health. A healthy lifestyle should be maintained from an early age and one should opt for eating right, avoiding habits which would affect one?s health adversely, include some daily exercise in our routine and try and avoid stress. This is easier said than done, but there are many ways to combat stress and overcome it and it is essential to learn stress management.

Health problems which are directly or indirectly related to overweigh and obesity are respiratory problems, diabetes, hypertension and other circulatory problems. This can be controlled by reducing our weight and bringing down the levels of blood sugar and cholesterol. One can surely have a good life when one is healthy.

You must learn how to measure your caloric intake and ensure that you burn these calories with your daily activities so that they do not settle on you as excess weight. Eating a little less everyday by way of calories would mean a regular weight reduction so that you can have that extra leeway when you do indulge in some goodies like creamy desserts at any given time. Looking good is definitely feeling good and this means a good life for you.

For that daily exercise you could try walking instead of using the car to work, walking up and down steps instead of using the elevator or even walking your pet regularly as he is bound to make your walk brisker by giving you a lead run.

Put in some time of vigorous physical activity everyday and this will help to bring down your cholesterol, sugar levels and also your weight. The bone density and muscular strength will also not wane is you are physically active. A life where you can do whatever you want to, without having problems to bend or climb stairs or squat is a good life.

Just like planning your menu with healthy foods, plan your day too and give yourself a lot of happy and useful things to do, this in itself will be a good life to lead. If you are working then you already have your day planned, but if you are retired then you will have to think about some great stuff to keep you occupied.

Parents should guide their kids from an early age towards a healthier good life in future years. They should not just set an example but also ensure that the pattern of their children?s life is formed from the beginning and is not something which they have to chance upon in later years. Good life is not just about luxuries but also about being physically fit.
